Get a glimpse of the life behind your radio speakers by taking a tour of NPR’s Washington facility. See the studios of Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Learn how news stories evolve into programming on 975 public radio stations across the United States and how we reach 26 million listeners every week.

Closest Metro Stop:
NoMa-Gallaudet U on the Washington DC Metro’s Red Line is the closest metro stop. However, when planning your trip you may want to consult a tool like Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl) for information on other potential routes.


Tours are available Monday through Friday, except national holidays. The tour starts promptly at 11 am.  Anyone arriving late for the tour will be turned away. The NPR tour is most interesting for those 16 and older. However, younger children are welcome to participate with parental supervision. For school groups, students should be involved in radio and TV productions or taking communications, political science, journalism classes, or related studies.  For more information about the tour, please see our FAQ here.
